The Foyle Food Group requires a Lairage Supervisor to be based at their Foyle Melton site, based at Six Hills, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of most progressive beef processing groups in the UK and Ireland.
Reporting to the site Slaughter Hall Manager you will be working in a busy lairage with high emphasis on animal welfare.

Essential Criteria:
•Minimum of 3 years’ experience handling cattle
•Excellent communication skills / ability to communicate with suppliers
•Experience with task delegation
•Capable to motivate and lead the lairage team in a pressured environment
•Ability to work in a tidy and safe manner
•Highly competent in the use of computers

Desirable Criteria:
•Animal Welfare Training Certificate
•Previous experience working in a Lairage

You will need:

•Ability to work as part of a team

INFORMATION

Foyle Melton Mowbray requires Loading Bay Operative be based at their site in Six Hills. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established food processing plant in the UK and Ireland.
The successful candidate will report to the Loading Bay manager and be a part of the Loading Bay team. Duties will include:

▪Ensuring the quality of the product being dispatched to other departments adhere to all quality parameters,
▪Assist in maintaining records of goods inwards in accordance with Company requirements,
▪Assist in ensuring that the scales in your department are accurate to conform to Weights and Measures legislation and completion of checklists provided,
▪Processing of orders in the right sequence and ensuring deadlines are met,
▪Achievement of individual and team KPIs.

Essential Criteria:
▪Your own form of transport – there is no Public Transport links to site.
▪Ability to complete quality checks including beef specification on products throughout the process and ensure that finished product is to customer specification.
▪Pervious experienced in a Red Meat slaughter / Red Meat production environment is preferred,
▪Good people skills,
▪A high degree of English language and literacy knowledge,
▪Flexible approach to working hours.
▪Ability to perform in a physically demanding job, within a cold environment.
▪Excellent timekeeping and attendance record.
▪Motivated, with ability to work on own initiative and flexible according to business needs.

Hours of work in the department will be Tuesday - Saturday 0600 > Finish (approx... 1430)

Foyle Donegal situated five minutes from Derry City require Evening Cleaners to be based at their Carrigan’s site in County Donegal. Reporting to the Hygiene Supervisor / Manager the successful candidates will be required to carry out in-depth industrial cleaning of all departments within the factory using heavy industrial cleaning hoses. Working as part of a Team to ensure that all current hygiene and cleaning standards are adhered to. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established food processing plant in Ireland. Due to the hours of work candidates must have their own transport / means of getting to work.

Essential Criteria:
• Must be able to work in physically demanding role.
• Must be able to work with heavy industrial hoses.
• Must be able to take instruction and learn quickly.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Have an awareness of Health & Safety.
• Have an awareness of chemical usage.
• Must be focused in relation to cleanliness and hygiene.
• Must be flexible and reliable in approach to meet demands of a busy Team working to a demanding cleaning schedule.

Desirable Criteria
• Previous experience of industrial cleaning in a food production environment.
• Previous experience working with cleaning chemicals and a knowledge of COSHH.

Working Times: shift pattern Monday – Friday 16.30pm – 12.30am
Must be flexible towards shift patterns and willing to work hours outside the shift pattern,
(including, weekends and Public Holidays)

A shift cleaning bonus will be paid following a successful daily pre-production / hygiene audit.

INFORMATION

Foyle Gloucester requires a Hygiene Manager to be based at their site in Cinderford. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cleaning/Hygiene Manager to be given the autonomy to use their skills, knowledge and experience to make a real impact on one the most progressive beef processing groups in the UK and Ireland.

Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of a busy evening shift, commencing at 6.30pm / 7pm, cleaning/hygiene team. Key responsibilities with role include but are not limited to:

• Efficient and effective management of the evening shift cleaning team, ensuring all hygiene functions are completed to the required standard; continuously striving to find new ways to improve efficiency and quality of the cleaning processes
• Ensure the department is adequately resourced at all times, maintaining and developing the appropriate skill base as required.
• Engage, motivate and develop the team to enable the achievement of KPIs and satisfactory completion and sign-off of all cleaning processes.
• Completion of daily cleaning audits, ensuring that corrective actions are recorded and subsequently carried out.
• Any other reasonable tasks as requested by Site Management

Essential Criteria:
• Previous experience working in a hygiene team/department; knowledge of cleaning processes and equipment.
• Confident with H&S and COSHH regulations (in house training is provided).
• Effective communication skills at all levels both internal and external.
• Must be flexible towards shift patterns and willingness to work hours outside the shift pattern (including Saturdays and Bank Holidays).

Desired Criteria:
• Knowledge of first aid practices and procedures,
• Previous experience working in a production environment,
• Team-orientated approach to a busy working environment with a practical hands-on attitude.
