Anuga is described by promoters as the world’s largest and most important food and beverage fair that takes place bi-annually alongside SIAL in Paris. This year the fair took place in Cologne, Germany, from the 5th – 9th October and Foyle Food Group where in attendance on the AHDB stand along with other Northern Ireland companies. The fair also saw 165,000 visitors from 198 countries as well as 7,500 exhibitors.

“It’s a fantastic fair to be a part of and it’s a great opportunity to meet new customers and make those important connections. It’s amazing to see some of the food and drinks that are out their and how innovative organisations are. It’s a valuable opportunity for Foyle to communicate with customers both current and new and it’s an important event within our calendar that we look forward to attending each time,” said Karen Kelso, Group Commercial Director for Foyle Food Group.

Foyle Food Group showcased their award-winning beef products on a booth on the AHDB stand right in the heart of Hall 6 at the Koelnmesse Exhibition Centre. Foyle had various beef products on display from ribs to steaks to striploins and short plates, there was a sample of everything on offer for customers to see. The products displayed were also in different brands such as Blackmoran Angus and Foyle Gourmet so customers could experience the various cuts and quality.

Anuga offered the opportunity for potential customers to meet with the appropriate sales team member for their country and discuss the potential trade opportunities. It also allowed them to see the different products Foyle have to offer and in various packaging’s available. This allowed for open discussions and the opportunity to ask questions. The fair also provided current customers to meet with the individual they have already been liaising with so that they could strengthen their relationship and further discuss potential opportunities on a face to face basis.
