Foyle Proteins require a General Operator to be based at our rendering plant in Campsie, Londonderry. This is an exciting opportunity to join a modern rendering plant in N. Ireland. We are currently looking for a shift operator, the ideal candidate will have a mechanical / engineering background with working knowledge of pumps, motors and filters. Being a rendering plant, the working environment is very warm, and you will be exposed to raw materials such as animal intestines, bones and blood.

The successful candidate will be part of a shift team working a 3 x 8 hour, 24 hr shift pattern from Mon > Sat.

The successful candidates will be part of a busy production team. Key responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:

Maintain the effective and efficient running of the production line.
Ensuring quality standards are met at all times.
Providing assistance to other members of the team when available.
Any other reasonable tasks as requested by Senior Management.
Hours of operation for this role are currently Monday to Saturday (working 5 days from 6) totalling 40 hours per week between 0600 > 1730 during standard operations, when Evening Shift is in place hours of work between 1600 > 0200, with opportunities to undertake additional hours. Starting rate £9.50 regardless of age or skills with an additional premium for hours worked on Evening Shift – full training given.
