INFORMATION
The Foyle Food Group is seeking a temporary NPD Assistant to be based at our Shared Service Centre located on the Foyle Omagh site. Reporting to the NPD Manager the successful candidate will undertake a number of roles relating to NPD including:
• Cooking validations
• Shelf life and organoleptic carried out on new products
• Sample and recipe creation
• Organising shipment of samples
• New product specification creation
• Assist with factory trials
• Organise and maintain product files
We envisage this role to last between 6 and 9 months, ideally, we are seeking applications of interest form candidates with a Technical / Quality background, experience in NPD or seeking a long term placement as part of your studies.
Hours of work – 40 hours between 0730 > 1700 – Monday to Friday

Production Management People Management Food Safety / Technical Operations
Lean Manufacturing
Successful applicants will undertake a 12-month on the job development programme, you will be placed within the production units – Beef Boning Hall, Beef Slaughter Hall, Loading Bay, Further Processing, Red & Green Offal preparation, Dispatch operations. Working closely with the management teams to develop your knowledge of red meat processing. The programme will develop you to become fully equipped with the right skills needed for an exciting career in the Red Meat processing industry.

What you will need to demonstrate
• That you are a committed and ambitious person, having excellent communication skills and a real desire to learn
• A desire to manage teams of people and processes
• Excellent organisational, analytical, IT and administrative skills
• A positive attitude, attention to detail and an understanding of how strong management adds value
• A degree / third level qualification in a relevant business, food related or manufacturing discipline
• A current EU driving licence as some travel may be required between our sites / training etc.
