INFORMATION

The Foyle Food Group requires a Group Technical / Quality Administrator to be based at our Shared Service Centre located on the Foyle Omagh site on the outskirts of Omagh, Co Tyrone, however you will be required to travel to all other FFG locations in GB, NI and ROI on occasions.

The key function of this role will be to develop trend reports, communicate issues, complete customer questionnaires, manage supplier approval program and general administration functions relating to the Technical / Quality function.

Essential criteria:

• 3rd level education in a related discipline or 2 years relative experience
• Good communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to work on your own initiative
• Knowledge of Technical / Quality department functions

Desirable Criteria:

• Food Hygiene certificate
• Previous experience conducing internal audits of the quality management system
• Previous experience of the red meat industry

INFORMATION

Foyle Gloucester requires a Technical Supervisor, to be based at their site in the Forest of Dean. We are seeking a technically qualified candidate who understands the commercial impact of decisions within the business and is able to communicate and interact across all levels within the business. You should be able to demonstrate diplomatic presence to exert influence with operations and will have the flexibility to work within different functions within the business. You must be forward thinking and finished product focused understanding the impact that your actions have on profit. You will be responsible for influencing attitudes to adopt and impose good factory practice.

Key competencies of the candidate to include:
• Experience working in a technical function within a production factory environment.
• 3rd Level education or equivalent in food related subject.
• Creative approach and a passion for food.
• Either Level 3 or Level 4 in HACCP and Food Safety for Manufacturing.
• Knowledge of BRC and retailer audits.
• Good knowledge of UK food legislation.
• Reliable, flexible and punctual.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative - carry out relevant checks thoroughly, instigate investigations where necessary.
• Experience of responding to customers technical demands, KPI’s and trend analysis.
• Computer literate.
• Ability to deputise in the departmental manager’s absence.
• Managing a small team in the day-to-day implementation of the QMS.
• Conducting internal audits.
• Working with all teams within the company and the third-party teams involved in the day-to-day operation of a production facility.
• Driving Licence and the flexibility to travel.

Desirable competencies:
• Proven track record of operating as a Technical Supervisor within the food industry within manufacturing environment.
• Ability to complete quality check on products thought the process and ensures that finished product is to customer specification.
• Continuous improvement experience.
• Experience in leading audits.
• Third country approvals / requirements including Brexit paperwork.
• Train the Trainer qualification.
• Animal Welfare qualification.

The Foyle Food Group is looking to employ a Technical Supervisor within our Retail Packing Facility at the Foyle Ingredients site based in Omagh, Co. Tyrone. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established food processing company.

We are seeking a technical qualified candidate who can provide support to Technical, Production, Hygiene and NPD teams to ensure company goals are achieved in relation to Food Safety, Quality, Compliance and Hygiene Standards.

Essential Criteria:
• 2 years’ experience working in a technical function within a production factory environment
• 3rd Level education or equivalent in food related subject
• Creative approach and a passion for food
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, UK Legislation & BRC Standards
• Experience of internal / customer audits and liaising with auditing bodies
• Experience of responding to customer technical demands, specifications & KPI’s trends.
• Competent in record keeping
• Provide support to Production and NPD during new product launch
• Reliable, flexible, and punctual
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Computer literate

Foyle Food Group, Melton Mowbray requires a Technical Assistant to be based at their Melton site in Leicestershire. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most progressive beef processing groups in Ireland and the UK.

The successful candidate will be part of a busy Technical team. Duties will include; Conducting quality control checks Microbiological duties, online inspections of products ensuring compliance in accordance with customer specifications, Carrying out GMP / housekeeping / Quality audits to ensure compliance and assisting with preparation for external audits when required.
Essential Criteria:
• Technical or Food Related Qualification OR proven relevant experience
• Understanding of HACCP principles
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Competent in record keeping
• Motivated with ability to work on own initiative
• Able to solve problems analytically
• Computer literate
Desirable Criteria:
• Foundation certificate in Food Technology
• Previous experience working in the food industry
• Experience of BRC and/or Retailer Audits
• Food hygiene qualification
• Ability to complete quality checks on products throughout the process and ensure that finished product is to customer specification.
