INFORMATION
Foyle Gloucester requires a Hygiene Manager to be based at their site in Cinderford. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cleaning/Hygiene Manager to be given the autonomy to use their skills, knowledge and experience to make a real impact on one the most progressive beef processing groups in the UK and Ireland.
Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of a busy evening shift, commencing at 6.30pm / 7pm, cleaning/hygiene team. Key responsibilities with role include but are not limited to:
• Efficient and effective management of the evening shift cleaning team, ensuring all hygiene functions are completed to the required standard; continuously striving to find new ways to improve efficiency and quality of the cleaning processes
• Ensure the department is adequately resourced at all times, maintaining and developing the appropriate skill base as required.
• Engage, motivate and develop the team to enable the achievement of KPIs and satisfactory completion and sign-off of all cleaning processes.
• Completion of daily cleaning audits, ensuring that corrective actions are recorded and subsequently carried out.
• Any other reasonable tasks as requested by Site Management
Essential Criteria:
• Previous experience working in a hygiene team/department; knowledge of cleaning processes and equipment.
• Confident with H&S and COSHH regulations (in house training is provided).
• Effective communication skills at all levels both internal and external.
• Must be flexible towards shift patterns and willingness to work hours outside the shift pattern (including Saturdays and Bank Holidays).
Desired Criteria:
• Knowledge of first aid practices and procedures,
• Previous experience working in a production environment,
• Team-orientated approach to a busy working environment with a practical hands-on attitude.

Working in the main Monday to Friday between 8 hour and 10 hour shifts, the beef boning hall operates a 4 over 5 shift pattern with employees working a 4 day week with extended weekends every 4 weeks.

INFORMATION
The Foyle Food Group is looking to employ a Quality Controller within our Retail Packing Facility at the Foyle Ingredients site based in Omagh, Co. Tyrone. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established food processing Company in the UK and Ireland.
The Quality Control Operative will report directly to the Technical Manager and is responsible for ensuring all developed product meets Customer and Company standards for conformance and food safety standards.
Duties will include but are not restricted to:
• Monitoring product from intake to finished product and reporting any food safety or quality issues e.g., temperature control, fat analysis, weight checks and label verification.
• Record and take corrective actions re: non-conformance reporting to suppliers.
• Complete sensory analysis of products in the test kitchen.
• Participate in NPD trials and new product launches.
Hours of operation for the role are currently Monday to Friday, totalling 40 hours per week between 0600 > 1800 during standard operations, with opportunities to undertake additional hours and occasional Saturday work. Starting rate regardless of age is £10.92 per hour with opportunity to increase to £11.42 per hour after completion of probationary period (6 months).
Essential Criteria:
• Working knowledge of what is involved in Quality Control Checks
• Strong command of the English Language both verbal and written
• IT Literate
• Good organisation and communication skills
• Ability to work on own initiative with an eye for detail
• Ability to work in a pressurised environment, with a can-do attitude and commitment to safety
• Flexibility towards working hours
Desirable Criteria:
• GCSE Maths & English at Grade C and above or equivalent
• Current Level 2 Food Safety for Manufacturing Certificate
• Previous experience working in a quality / assurance role
• Previous experience or working knowledge of red meat products

INFORMATION
Foyle Gloucester requires a Technical Supervisor who will be focusing on food safety, technical and quality along with managing the QMS, to be based at their site in the Forest of Dean. You should be able to demonstrate diplomatic presence to exert influence with operations and will have the flexibility to work within different functions within the business. You will be responsible for influencing attitudes to adopt and impose good factory practice.

• Knowledge of BRC and retailer audits.
• Good knowledge of UK food legislation
• Managing a small team in the day-to-day implementation of the QMS.
• Third country approvals / requirements including Brexit paperwork.
• 3rd Level education or equivalent in food related subject.
• Either Level 3 or Level 4 in HACCP and Food Safety for Manufacturing.
• Train the Trainer qualification.
• Animal Welfare qualification.
