The Foyle Food Group is seeking applications of interest for a Technical Graduate to be based within our Retail Packing Facility at the Foyle Ingredients site based in Omagh, Co. Tyrone. We are keen to attract applications from people seeking to develop their skills and knowledge particularly within the Red Meat Processing Industry. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s and Ireland’s leading red meat processors.
As a Technical Graduate, you’ll be immersed in all aspects of technical operations, from product quality and safety to compliance and customer standards. This is a hands-on role designed to accelerate your development and prepare you for future leadership within the industry.
Responsibilities include:
• Support with the implementation of food safety and quality systems
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve technical issues and help drive improvements
• Ensuring products meet internal and customer quality standards
• Identifying and reporting of non-conformances to suppliers
• Assisting with NPD on product trials and specifications
• Provide feedback and training to operatives on product specifications and quality procedures
• Monitor and reporting of hygiene practices across production areas
• Assisting in preparing for customer audits and visits
What we’re looking for:
• A degree or 3rd level qualification in a food related subject
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Passion for the food industry and a keen interest in red meat processing
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, factory-based environment

Successful candidates will be provided with full information, training, instruction, protective clothing and equipment. We have free on-site parking, a subsidised canteen and all employees get free life assurance upon successful completion of your probationary period.
Starting rate for trainee and inexperienced operators is €14.42 per hour, additional skills bonuses are applicable for Semi and Skilled Butchery roles.
All offers of employment are dependent on successfully passing the Companies pre-employment medical, which includes a drugs and alcohol test.
Working in the main Monday to Friday 10 hour shifts, beef boning hall operates a 4 over 5 shift pattern with employees working a 4 day week with an alternating day off each week resulting in a 4 day weekend every 4 weeks. – this doesn’t read right??

Are you passionate about farming and looking for a rewarding, hands-on role in agriculture?
We’re looking for an experienced and reliable Farm Worker to join our team on a large beef farm and Research facility with a chicken house, just outside Cookstown.
Reporting to the Farm Manager and play a key role in the day-to-day running of the farm, carrying out a wide range of duties essential to the smooth operation of both beef production. This is a state-of-the-art facility and you will have the opportunity to learn of the latest innovation and operate the most up to date machinery.
Enterprises on the farm include;
-Large Beef Finishing Operation
-Herd of Hill Suckler Cows
-Lowland Paddock Grazing Platform
-Free Range Broilers
🕒 Working Hours:
Monday to Sunday rota – including one weekend in every three
(weekend work includes feeding and other essential tasks)
45 hour contract
Competitive salary – based on experience
✅ Essential Criteria:
Proven experience on a beef farm
Good working knowledge of animal health and welfare
Experience using a feeding wagon
Competent in operating general farm machinery
Flexible and dependable – able to adapt to varying tasks and schedules
Strong ability to work independently
⭐ Desirable Criteria:
Experience working in chicken houses
A 3rd-level qualification in Agriculture or related field
