The Foyle Food Group is seeking to recruit a Company Accountant to be based at the Group’s Shared Service Centre located in Omagh. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller this is an excellent opportunity to join one of the largest red meat processing companies in the UK and Ireland.
The successful candidate must be a Qualified Accountant, Industry experience preferred but not essential. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for managing the finances of one of our business units. You should be able to demonstrate leadership and managerial ability with strong decision-making skills. You should have a professional and presentable manner with strong confidence in your ability.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of roles within a busy finance team including:
• Preparation of weekly accounts
• Preparation of periodic (4 week) management accounts
• Interpretation of the accounts, providing meaningful analysis and commentary
• Working closely with the General Manager of the business unit to identify important business issues that need addressed including identification of cost savings
• Assistance with the preparation of annual statutory accounts
• Group VAT returns (NI & ROI) / RCT returns
• Managing and mentoring the finance team within the business unit
• Ad hoc duties to support the Group finance function and the Group Financial Controller including the preparation of ad-hoc reports

INFORMATION
The Foyle Food Group is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the slaughter facility based at Six Hills Melton Mowbray.
Working closely with the Management team on site and at Group level you will be responsible for co-ordinating Production activities, Engineering on site, Technical Management, Human Resource and Safety operations to ensure the site runs smoothly and efficiently, maintaining high standards of safely whilst adhering to strict food safety standards and driving continuous improvement at the site. This is a key role that supports the overall efficiency and success of our business.
We are seeking a reliable and detailed-oriented individual with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior role ideally within red meat processing.
Key Responsibilities:
o In conjunction with Group Functional Directors, deliver site objectives and targets
o Report to Directors on business performance against targets and budgets
o Demonstrate leadership to direct and manage others to maximise potential
o Develop and deliver systems and processes to maximise site potential
The successful candidate will:

3rd level education or equivalent industry standard qualification
Have developed interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
Natural leader, analytical thinker with the ability to work under pressure
Have a detailed understanding of critical success factors in a fast-moving business

The role is based at the site reception with the individual covering reception and shipping documentation. You will also be trained to cover the payroll department after your probation has been completed.

The Foyle Food Group requires a Trainee Shift Manager, for our Retail packing operations at our Foyle Ingredients site in Omagh, Co. Tyrone. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established food processing Company in the UK and Ireland.
The successful candidate will report directly to the General Manager and Operational Manager, and will work closely with Supervisors, Line Leaders and Technical personnel to oversee the day-to-day running of the facility to ensure the on-time delivery of premium products.
We are seeking applications from individuals who have the ambition and drive to take up a management career within the food processing industry and who thrives in a fast paced, pressurised environment. Working to exacting specifications and targets, getting the best out of both people and equipment within the facility.
Essential Criteria:
• 3rd Level Education or equivalent in a food or agriculture related subject and/or previous Supervisory experience within a production factory environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a pressurised environment.
• A keen eye for detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work on your own initiative.
• IT literate

Desirable Criteria:
