Multi Skilled Engineer

Locations: Foyle Gloucester
Closing Date: 28/02/2020

    Foyle Gloucester requires a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (electrically biased) to be based at their Cinderford site. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established food processing group.

    The successful candidate will be part of the Foyle Gloucester Maintenance team, assisting in the day-to-day and preventative maintenance programmes and assisting with ad-hoc maintenance activities on the Foyle Gloucester site.

    Essential Criteria:

    • A can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills are essential
    • Experience working on and maintaining equipment and machinery
    • Flexible / team worker
    • A sound understanding of Health and Safety standards is essential

    Desirable Criteria:

    • 18th Edition electrical certification
    • Electrical testing and inspection experience
    • Electrical apprenticeship completed
    • Experience with three phase motors
    • Ability to work at heights
    • Previous hydraulics and pneumatics experience
    • Previous refrigeration experience
    • Previous welding experience

    Finance Administrator - Temporary post

    Locations: Foyle Food Group – Shared Service Centre – Omagh

          The Foyle Food Group requires a Temporary Finance Administrator to be based at our Shared Service Centre located on the Foyle Omagh site. This is a fixed term one-year contract to cover maternity leave within the business. The Finance Administrator role is a multi-functional role with the successful candidate cross trained to fulfil a number of roles:

          • Purchase Ledger
          • Cash Allocations
          • Invoicing
          • General administration duties

          Essential Criteria:

          Hygiene Manager

          Locations: Foyle Donegal

                Foyle Donegal requires a Hygiene Manager to be based at their Carrigans site in County Donegal. Situated five minutes from Derry City this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Cleaning/Hygiene Manager to be given the autonomy to use their skills, knowledge and experience to make a real impact on one the most progressive beef processing groups in Ireland and the UK.

                Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of a busy night shift cleaning/hygiene team. Key responsibilities with role, include but are not limited to:

                • Efficient and effective management of the night shift cleaning team, ensuring all hygiene functions are completed to the required standard; continuously striving to find new ways to improve efficiency and quality of cleaning processes.
                • Ensure the department is always adequately resourced, maintaining and developing the appropriate skill base as required.
                • Engage, motivate and develop the team to enable the achievement of KPIs and satisfactory completion and sign-off of all cleaning processes.
                • Completion of daily cleaning audits, ensuring that corrective actions are recorded and subsequently carried out.
                • Maintain Hygiene Schedules as set out by the Company.
                • Ensure controls around chemical usage, care of equipment / dosing equipment
                • Any other reasonable tasks as requested by Department Manager and Supervisor(s)Working Times: shift pattern Monday – Friday 16.30pm – 01.00am. Must be flexible towards shift patterns and willingness to work hours outside the shift pattern (including Weekends and Bank Holidays),

                Essential Criteria:

                • Previous experience working in a hygiene team/department; knowledge of cleaning processes and equipment.
                • Confident with H&S and COSHH regulations (in house training is provided).
                • Effective communication skills at all levels both internal and external.
                • Previous experience working in a food environment
                • Chemical & Food Hygiene Qualification

                Desired Criteria

                • Knowledge of first aid practices and procedures,
                • Previous experience working in a beef production environment

                  Locations: Foyle Food Group – Foyle Omagh

                  Foyle Omagh requires General Operatives to be based at their site on the outskirts of Omagh, County Tyrone. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of most progressive beef processing groups in the UK and Ireland.

                  The successful candidates will undertake operations in both the Beef Boning and Slaughter Halls on site – full training will be provided to use cutting equipment to enable employees to attain their full potential.

                  Hrs of work Beef Boning Hall > 0700 > 1730

                  4 x 10hr shifts each week with a rotating day off – 4-day weekend every 5 weeks.

                  Beef Slaughter Hall > 0830 > 1630 – 5 x 8hr shifts each week

                  (Production units are operational on Saturdays between the 1st Oct and the end of November)

                  Minimum hourly rate of £8.21 per hour regardless of age

                  Essential Criteria:
