This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established food processing Company in the UK and Ireland.
Located at Campsie BT47, the successful candidate will report into the technical manager and be required to conduct quality control checks including temperature and pH of beef carcasses, online inspections of products ensuring compliance in accordance with customer specifications, conducting GMP / housekeeping audits and assisting with preparation for external audits when required.
Essential Criteria:
•Technical or Food Related Qualification OR proven relevant experience
•Understanding of HACCP principles
•Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
•Competent in record keeping
•Motivated with ability to work on own initiative
•Able to solve problems analytically
•Computer literate
•Must be able to start at 6am
Desirable Criteria:
•Foundation certificate in Food Technology
•Previous experience working in the food industry
•Experience of BRC and/or Retailer Audits
•Food hygiene qualification
•Ability to complete quality checks on products throughout the process and ensure that finished product is to customer specification.
•Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
•Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

Sustainability and Environmental Management are at the forefront of the Foyle Food Group’s business objectives – we are actively seeking applications from individuals who have a passion to develop and deliver all aspects of sustainability (Environmental, Social and Governance).
The successful candidate will monitor competitor / customer / Industry sector sustainability strategies, targets and requirement and incorporate these as appropriate to ensure the Foyle Food Group meets current and future business needs complying with Environmental regulations and standards. You will also prepare sustainability reports, detailing the organization's performance in areas such as greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, and waste management
Key skills
• Sustainability or Environmental Management qualification at degree level or above
• Extensive knowledge of ISO 14001
• Previous experience in sustainability projects
• A passion to drive sustainability and environmental projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Foyle Gloucester requires production operatives to be based in the Boning Hall undertaking packing duties, at our Cinderford site in the Forest of Dean. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest Red Meat processing Companies in the UK and Ireland.

• Ability to undertake manual handling tasks

• Flexible approach to working hours
Desirable Criteria:
• Previous experience of working in a meat processing plant
Packing Operatives based within the Boning Hall work on a shift system based on a 5-week rota, 10-hour days (excluding breaks), Monday to Friday based on 4 days per week. Start time is 07:15.
The rate paid for this role is £11.94 (based on national living wage plus 50p). Full on the job training will be given to the successful applicants.
