Hygiene Operative

Foyle Omagh currently have a vacancy for a Knife Control Room Hygiene Operative to be based at their Omagh, Co. Tyrone site. Reporting to the Boning Hall Manager, the successful candidate will be working in the Knife Control room and will be responsible for cleaning and dispensing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other equipment as well undertaking general cleaning duties. Working as part of a team to ensure that all current hygiene and cleaning standards are adhered to. Maintenance Engineer

Foyle Ingredients is a Retail Packing Plant based within the Foyle Omagh site located on the outskirts of Omagh Co Tyrone. The successful candidate will be part of the Foyle Ingredients Maintenance team, assisting in the day-to-day and preventative maintenance programmes.

The shifts for the day shift operations are currently 0600 > 1530 and 0800 > 1730 and when Evening Shift is in place working hours between 1600 > 0200 carried out on a rotational basis, Monday to Saturday (working 5 days from 6). Totalling 45 hours per week with opportunities to undertake additional hours. Occasional preventative maintenance work on a Sunday.

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum NVQ level 3 in Fabrication / Welding or alternatively Minimum NVQ level 3 Electrical Installation
  • Previous experience with TIG welding equipment or previous experience with three phase electrical equipment
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Ability to work in a team in a pressurised environment

Desirable Criteria:

  • Multi-skilled and have experience in a similar role with a recognised apprenticeship

Multi Skilled Engineer

Locations: Foyle Donegal

Situated 5 minutes from Derry City, Foyle Donegal requires a Multi-Skilled Engineer working as part of the Engineering Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the supply, service, maintenance and repair of all equipment within a very busy production site in order for output to be maintained at optimum efficiency. Preference will be given to applicants who are mechanically biased and/or who have extensive experience of refrigeration.

 Essential Criteria:

  • ONC in Mechanical Engineering with recognised Apprenticeship
  • Welding experience including welding stainless steel.

International Trade Administrator

The Foyle Food Group requires an International Trade Administrator to be based in the Shared Services Centre located within the Foyle Omagh site, on the outskirts of Omagh, Co Tyrone. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest Red Meat processing Companies in the UK and Ireland.

Night Cleaning Staff

Foyle Campsie requires a Night Cleaning Operative.  The post will be based at their Campsie site in County Londonderry. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most progressive beef processing groups in Ireland and the UK.

The successful candidate will be part of a busy cleaning team.  Industrial cleaning of all departments of the factory post production. Working as part of a team of 9 to ensure hygiene and cleaning standards are adhered to. Using chemicals to clean the factory. Physical tasks include not limited to, power hosing, moving parts & equipment, etc. Please note work can be physically demanding.

Essential Criteria:

  • 1 years’ experience in industrial cleaning in a production / industrial environment.
  • Ability to commit to a night shift working 5pm – 1:30am and later when required.
  • Knowledge of cleaning processes and equipment used in a factory environment.
  • Experience in use of chemicals.

Farm Liaison Officer

Production Operative

Locations: Foyle Proteins

Foyle Proteins require a General Operator to be based at our rendering plant in Campsie, Londonderry. This is an exciting opportunity to join a modern rendering plant in N. Ireland. We are currently looking for a shift operator, the ideal candidate will have a mechanical / engineering background with working knowledge of pumps, motors and filters. Being a rendering plant, the working environment is very warm, and you will be exposed to raw materials such as animal intestines, bones and blood.

The successful candidate will be part of a shift team working a 3 x 8 hour, 24 hr shift pattern from Mon > Sat.

Essential Criteria:

  • Ability to work on own initiative in a safe manner
  • Effective team operator
  • Medically fit and in good health

Foyle Donegal situated five minutes from Derry City require Evening Cleaners to be based at their Carrigan’s site in County Donegal. Reporting to the Cleaning Supervisor / Manager the successful candidates will be required to carry out in-depth industrial cleaning of all departments within the factory using heavy industrial cleaning hoses.  Working as part of a Team to ensure that all current hygiene and cleaning standards are adhered to. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established food processing plant in Ireland. Due to the hours of work candidates must have their own transport / means of getting to work.

Essential Criteria:

  • Must be able to work in a physically demanding role
  • Must be able to work with heavy industrial power hoses
  • Ability to take instruction and learn quickly

  • Awareness of chemical usage
  • Must be focused in relation to cleanliness and hygiene

Desired Criteria

  • Previous experience in industrial cleaning in a food production environment

          Working Times: shift pattern Monday – Friday 16.30pm – 12.30am.

Must be flexible towards shift patterns and willing to work hours outside the shift pattern

(including Weekends and Bank Holidays).

General Operatives

The Foyle Food Group requires General Operatives for our Foyle Ingredients Retail packing plant, located on the Foyle Omagh site, 52 Doogary Road, Omagh Co. Tyrone. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established food processing Company in the UK and Ireland.

The successful candidates will be part of a busy production team. Key responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain the effective and efficient running of the production line.
  • Ensuring quality standards are met at all times.
  • Providing assistance to other members of the team when available.
  • Any other reasonable tasks as requested by Senior Management.

Hours of operation for this role are currently Monday to Saturday (working 5 days from 6) totalling 40 hours per week between 0600 > 1730 during standard operations, when Evening Shift is in place hours of work between 1600 > 0200, with opportunities to undertake additional hours. We pay operators, off all ages the UK National Living Wage, currently £8.72 with an additional premium for hours worked on Evening Shift.

You will be provided with training to enable you to become a fully skilled member of the team, de-boning, trimming, packing, slaughtering, operating machinery and carrying out general production work. The successful candidate will be part of a busy (department) team.
