INFORMATION

Foyle Gloucester requires a Hygiene Manager to be based at their site in Cinderford. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cleaning/Hygiene Manager to be given the autonomy to use their skills, knowledge and experience to make a real impact on one the most progressive beef processing groups in the UK and Ireland.

Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of a busy evening shift, commencing at 7pm, cleaning/hygiene team. Key responsibilities with role include but are not limited to:

• Efficient and effective management of the evening shift cleaning team, ensuring all hygiene functions are completed to the required standard; continuously striving to find new ways to improve efficiency and quality of the cleaning processes
• Ensure the department is adequately resourced at all times, maintaining and developing the appropriate skill base as required.
• Engage, motivate and develop the team to enable the achievement of KPIs and satisfactory completion and sign-off of all cleaning processes.
• Completion of daily cleaning audits, ensuring that corrective actions are recorded and subsequently carried out.
• Any other reasonable tasks as requested by Site Management

Essential Criteria:
• Previous experience working in a hygiene team/department; knowledge of cleaning processes and equipment.
• Confident with H&S and COSHH regulations (in house training is provided).
• Effective communication skills at all levels both internal and external.
• Must be flexible towards shift patterns and willingness to work hours outside the shift pattern (including Saturdays and Bank Holidays).

Desired Criteria:
• Knowledge of first aid practices and procedures,
• Previous experience working in a production environment,
• Team-orientated approach to a busy working environment with a practical hands-on attitude.

• Previous Sales / Commercial experience

The Foyle Food Group requires an Agricultural Co-Ordinator to be based at our Foyle Melton Mowbray facility, in Six Hills, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. Reporting to Group Agriculture Management team, the successful candidate will have a full and varied role from to farm visits / audits and presentations to Agri groups / customers, assisting with the delivery of Group Agricultural strategies, assisting with procurement activities when required etc.

This role is aimed at individuals with an in-dept knowledge of Beef Farming, working closely with the Agricultural team you will be suitably informed, equipped and motivated to carrying out the role, working as part of a team to co-ordinate on farm research projects, implement animal welfare standards as per our customers’ requirements.

Key aspects of the role include.

- Promoting efficient and environmentally responsible farming practices,
- Assisting farmers with the collection and submission of data for customer requirements and contracts.
- Attending industry events to further develop knowledge
- Supporting the seamless flow of animal health information back to farmers.
- Assisting with the management of on farm research
- Ensuring farmers have the knowledge of customer requirements and expectations.

The ideal candidate must display the following competencies:

• 3rd level education in an agricultural discipline

Foyle Gloucester requires a Technical Supervisor who will be focusing on food safety, technical and quality along with managing the QMS, to be based at their site in the Forest of Dean. You should be able to demonstrate diplomatic presence to exert influence with operations and will have the flexibility to work within different functions within the business. You will be responsible for influencing attitudes to adopt and impose good factory practice.

• Knowledge of BRC and retailer audits.
• Good knowledge of UK food legislation
• Managing a small team in the day-to-day implementation of the QMS.
• Third country approvals / requirements including Brexit paperwork.
• 3rd Level education or equivalent in food related subject.
• Either Level 3 or Level 4 in HACCP and Food Safety for Manufacturing.
• Train the Trainer qualification.
• Animal Welfare qualification.
