The Foyle Food Group have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Health Nurse / Technician to undertake Pre-employment medicals, annual medicals, ongoing health surveillance / screening at the Foyle Melton Mowbray and Foyle Gloucester sites. This is a part time roll undertaking approximately 55 clinic’s at the Gloucester site and 30 at the Melton site annually.

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of most progressive beef processing groups in the UK and Ireland, working days are flexible around the needs of the successful candidate / Company. Working closely with the Human Resource and Safety Management team the successful candidate will ensure accurate and full completion of all necessary health records and service documentation, providing advice and guidance to the management team and employees at the sites.

You should have the following essential criteria:

• Registered Occupational Health Nurse / Technician
• Previous experience in an Occupational Health setting
• Experience in health surveillance relevant to Occupational Health
• Proficient I.T. Skills
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Proven ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Accuracy in recording information and attention to detail
• Good team player who is flexible and reliable in your approach
• Access to a vehicle and hold a current valid UK driving license

Continual access to a vehicle is key to delivering services at both site – you will receive £0.45 per business mile completed.

INFORMATION

Foyle Gloucester requires production operatives to be based in the Boning Hall undertaking packing duties, at our Cinderford site in the Forest of Dean. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest Red Meat processing Companies in the UK and Ireland.

Essential Criteria:

• Wiling to learn new skills
• To work effectively within a team
• Ability to work in a tidy and safe manner
• Ability to undertake manual handling tasks
• Ability to work within health and safety guidelines
• Flexible approach to working hours

Desirable Criteria:

• Previous experience of working in a meat processing plant

Packing Operatives based within the Boning Hall work on a shift system based on a 5-week rota, 10-hour days (excluding breaks), Monday to Friday based on 4 days per week. Start time is 07:15.

The rate paid for this role is £11.94 (based on national living wage plus 50p). Full on the job training will be given to the successful applicants.

QA Supervisor

INFORMATION

Foyle Gloucester requires an QA Supervisor to be based ACS & T Logistics, Green Lane, Newtown Trading Estate, Tewkesbury. This role involves responsibility for the day-to-day inspection and quality control of all Foyle Food Group product to be dispatched from the Cold Store and supporting dispatch functions. The successful candidate will be reporting to both the Production Manager and Technical Manager who are based at Foyle Gloucester.

This role is salary based and hours worked will be dependent on dispatch requirements.

Duties to include (but not limited to):
• Ensuring orders are picked/palletised to customer requirements and dispatched within specified time frames
• Ensuring orders have the appropriate documentation ready for loading/dispatch
• Ensuring that stock is allocated to the correct locations within the cold store
• Lorry checks
• Liaising with the Vet to ensure any issues are rectified to ensure successful dispatch of product

Essential Criteria
• Ability to demonstrate leadership and communication qualities
• Ability to fulfil administration requirements of the position and possess established IT skills and understanding of Microsoft software
• Ability to work to specifications for packaging and presentation
• Ability to ensure orders are picked and produced correctly and cost effectively.
• Physical ability to work in a cold/refrigerated environment.
• Working knowledge of dispatching and/or warehousing
• Driving license and access to a vehicle
• Flexible approach to working hours (occasionally working weekends/public holidays)

Desirable:
• Previous cold store experience

Foyle Melton Mowbray requires a Livestock Procurement Manager to be based at their site, located at Melton Road, Sixhills, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of most progressive beef processing groups in the UK and Ireland.

In this role, you will be responsible for the procurement of livestock from existing suppliers, prepare delivery schedules to the abattoir, various reports, identify new livestock suppliers and cultivate relationships with current suppliers and key industry contacts. This is a “hands on role” with livestock suppliers. You will be required to have a strong agricultural background and knowledge of beef farming is considered essential.

You will be the primary point of contact for all livestock producers supplying the Melton site, spending time with them to understand their needs, identify changes and cultivate relationships with current livestock suppliers – whilst promoting the Foyle brand to help secure new livestock producers.

You should have the following essential criteria:

• 3rd Level Education qualification or equivalent in agricultural / Food related discipline
• Strong agricultural background and knowledge of beef farming

Foyle Proteins require a General Operator to be based at our rendering plant in Campsie, Londonderry. This is an exciting opportunity to join a modern rendering plant in N. Ireland. We are currently looking for a shift operator, the ideal candidate will have a mechanical / engineering background with working knowledge of pumps, motors and filters.

The successful candidate will be part of a shift team working a 3 x 8 hour, 24 hr shift pattern from Mon > Sat.

Reporting to the site Slaughter Hall Manager you will be working in a busy lairage with high emphasis on animal welfare

Essential Criteria:
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience handling cattle
• Excellent communication skills / ability to communicate with suppliers
• Experience with task delegation
• Capable to motivate and lead the lairage team in a pressured environment
• Ability to work in a tidy and safe manner
• Highly competent in the use of computers

Desirable Criteria:
• Animal Welfare Training Certificate
• Previous experience working in a Lairage

You will need:
• Have a willingness to learn and develop yourself
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Provide regular and reliable service

Working hours are Monday-Friday, starting between 0600 & 0700 to between 1430 & 1530
