Product Development Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established food processing Company in the UK and Ireland.

    Based at the Group’s Shared Service Centre in Omagh and reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for all aspects of Product Development within the Group.

    Essential Criteria

    •  Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Food Science / Technology or other relevant discipline
    • Relevant industrial NPD experience, preferably in the red meat sector
    • Working knowledge of labelling standards, allergen info and food legislation
    • Develop and maintain NPD section of quality management system in line with accreditations
    • Previous experience taking a new product through development to launch
    • Demonstrate knowledge of marketing, customer insight, commercial acumen and operational experience

    Personnel / Administration Officer

    Locations: Foyle Melton Mowbray
    Closing Date: 24/11/2019

        Foyle Melton Mowbray a state-of-the-art red meat slaughtering facility, requires a Personnel / Administration Officer to be based at their site at Six Hills. Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will fill a varied and challenging role, covering all aspects of the Personnel function and covering / assisting with general administration functions such as shipping, cattle payments etc.

        Essential Criteria would include:

        • CIPD qualified or 2 years’ experience in a generalist HR role
        • Current knowledge of UK Employment legislation
        • Experience in conducting investigations and disciplinary hearings
        • Experience in managing all aspects of recruitment
        • High attention to detail
        • Strong IT skills / experience of HR / Payroll packages
        • Good organisational and communication skills

        Desirable Criteria:

        • Previous experience of working in the food industry

        Evening Shift Cleaners

        Locations: Foyle Omagh / Foyle Ingredients

        Foyle Omagh / Ingredients currently have a vacancy for an evening shift cleaners to be based at their Omagh, Co. Tyrone site. Reporting to the Cleaning Manager, the successful candidate will be required to carry out thorough cleaning of all departments within the factory. Working as part of a team to ensure that all current hygiene and cleaning standards are adhered to. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established food processing plant in the UK and Ireland.

        Retail Packing Operatives

        Locations: Foyle Ingredients

        The Foyle Food Group requires General Operatives for our Foyle Ingredients Retail packing plant, located on the Foyle Omagh site, 52 Doogary Road, Omagh Co. Tyrone. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established food processing Company in the UK and Ireland.

        The successful candidates will be part of a busy production team. Key responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:

        • Maintain the effective and efficient running of the production line.
        • Ensuring quality standards are met at all times.
        • Providing assistance to other members of the team when available.
        • Any other reasonable tasks as requested by Senior Management.

        Hours of operation for this role are Monday to Saturday (working 5 days from 6) totalling 40 hours per week between 0600 > 1730, with opportunities to undertake additional hours. We pay operators, off all ages the UK National Living Wage, currently £8.21.

        • Effective team operator
        • Able to work in a temperature controlled food processing environment
        • Good communication skills

        Quality Control Operative

        Locations: Foyle Ingredients
        Closing Date: 15/11/2019

        The Foyle Food Group is looking to employ an additional Quality Control Operative within our state of the art Retail Packing Facility at the Foyle Ingredients site based in Omagh, Co. Tyrone. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established food processing Company in the UK and Ireland.

        The Quality Control Operative will report directly to the Technical Manager and are responsible for ensuring all developed product meets Customer and Company standards for conformance and food safety standards.

        Duties will include but are not restricted to:

        • Monitoring product from intake to finished product and reporting any food safety or quality issues e.g. temperature control, fat analysis, weight checks and label verification.
        • Record and take corrective actions re: non-conformance reporting to suppliers
        • Complete sensory analysis of products in the test kitchen.
        • Participate in NPD trials and New product launches.

        Hours of operation for the role are Monday to Saturday (working 5 days from 6 per week) totalling 40 hours per week between 0600 > 2000; with opportunities to undertake additional hours. We pay all QC operatives £8.71 per hour (NLW currently £8.21 + 50p premium bonus).

        Essential Criteria:

        • GCSE Maths & English at Grade C and above or equivalent
        • Working knowledge of what is involved in Quality Control Checks
        • Strong command of the English Language both verbal and written
        • IT Literate
        • Good organisation and communication skills
        • Ability to work on own initiative with an eye for detail
        • Ability to work in a pressurised environment, with a can-do attitude and commitment to safety
        • Flexibility towards working hours

         

        Desirable Criteria:

        • Current Level 2 Food Safety for Manufacturing Certificate
        • Previous experience working in a quality / assurance role
        • Previous experience or working knowledge of red meat products

        Multi Skilled Engineer

        Locations: Foyle Gloucester

        Foyle Gloucester requires a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to be based at their Cinderford site. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established food processing group.

        The successful candidate will be part of the Foyle Gloucester Maintenance team, assisting in the day-to-day and preventative maintenance programmes and assisting with ad-hoc maintenance activities on the Foyle Gloucester site.

        Essential Criteria:

        • A can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills are essential
        • Experience working on and maintaining equipment and machinery
        • Flexible / team worker
        • A sound understanding of Health and Safety standards is essential

        Desirable Criteria:

        • 18th Edition electrical certification
        • Electrical testing and inspection certification

        • Previous hydraulics and pneumatics experience

        Production Operatives

        Locations: Foyle Gloucester

        Foyle Gloucester requires operatives to join our production team. The roles available are within our butchery and packing teams. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established food processing group.

        Essential Criteria:

        • Willing to learn new skills where appropriate

        Shift system based on 5-week rota, 10-hour days (excluding breaks) Monday to Friday based on 4 days per week (reverts to 5 day working, 8-hour days for 10 weeks over summer period). Start time is 7:15am.

        Production Operative

        Locations: Foyle Food Group – Foyle Omagh
        Closing Date: 30/12/2019

        Foyle Omagh requires General Operatives to be based at their site on the outskirts of Omagh, County Tyrone. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of most progressive beef processing groups in the UK and Ireland.

        The successful candidates will undertake operations in both the Beef Boning and Slaughter Halls on site – full training will be provided to use cutting equipment to enable employees to attain their full potential.

        Hrs of work Beef Boning Hall > 0700 > 1730

        4 x 10hr shifts each week with a rotating day off – 4-day weekend every 5 weeks.

        Beef Slaughter Hall > 0830 > 1630 – 5 x 8hr shifts each week

        (Production units are operational on Saturdays between the 1st Oct and the end of November)

        Minimum hourly rate of £8.21 per hour regardless of age
