INFORMATION
The Foyle Food Group requires an Agricultural Co-Ordinator to be based at either our Foyle Gloucester facility in Cinderford or the Foyle Melton Mowbray facility in Sixhills, Melton Mowbray. Reporting to Group Agriculture Management team, the successful candidate will have a full and varied role, from to farm visits / audits and presentations to Agri groups / customers, assisting with the delivery of Group Agricultural strategies, assisting with procurement activities when required etc.
This role is aimed at individuals with an in-dept knowledge of Beef Farming, working closely with the Agricultural team you will be suitably informed, equipped and motivated to carrying out the role, working as part of a team to co-ordinate on farm research projects, implement animal welfare standards as per our customers’ requirements.
Key aspects of the role include.
- Assist with the delivery of the Foyle Aberdeen Angus programme throughout Great Britain (GB)
- Oversee supplier engagement and communication across GB
- Manage agricultural events across GB
- Lead social media engagement for agricultural initiatives across GB
- Management of research projects
- Increase engagement with retail and food service customers regarding the Foyle Food Group Agricultural programme
- Farm auditing
- Support data collection and contract onboarding during peak periods
The ideal candidate must display the following competencies:
• 3rd level education in an agricultural discipline
• Excellent communication skills
• In-dept knowledge of beef farming activities
• IT literate
• Access to your own transport
• Presentation skills
• A can-do attitude

Livestock Procurement Manager

INFORMATION
Foyle Gloucester requires a Livestock Procurement Manager to be based at their site, located in the Forest Vale Industrial Estate, Cinderford, Gloucestershire. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most progressive beef processing groups in the UK and Ireland.
In this role, you will be responsible for the procurement of livestock from existing suppliers, prepare delivery schedules to the abattoir, various reports, identify new livestock suppliers and develop relationships with current suppliers and key industry contacts. This is a “hands on role” with livestock suppliers. You will be required to have a strong agricultural background and knowledge of beef farming is considered essential.
You will be the primary point of contact for all livestock producers supplying the Gloucester site, spending time with them to understand their needs, identify changes and establish relationships with current livestock suppliers – whilst promoting the Foyle brand to help secure new livestock producers.
You should have the following essential criteria:
• 3rd Level Education qualification or equivalent in agricultural / Food related discipline
• Strong agricultural background and knowledge of beef farming
• Proficient I.T. Skills
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Proven ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Accuracy in recording information and attention to detail
• Good team player who is flexible and reliable in your approach
• Hold a current valid UK driving license
