Production Planner

Locations: Foyle Gloucester
Closing Date: 23/11/2020

Foyle Gloucester requires Production Planner on a fixed term basis to cover maternity leave (commencing in December 2020), to be based at their Cinderford site. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established food processing group. The successful candidate needs to be willing to learn about red meat product and production planning as full training will be given.

Essential Criteria:

  • A minimum of 4 GCSE’s or equivalent including mathematics
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Effective team operator
  • Computer literate on Microsoft packages
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Excellent communication skills

Desirable Criteria:

  • Working knowledge of the red meat industry
  • Working knowledge of the individual red meat cuts
  • Previous experience of working in a planning role
  • Working knowledge of NAVISION and INNOVA systems

    Loading Bay Operatives

    Locations: Foyle Melton Mowbray

Loading Bay operative’s primary role is to load out beef quarters onto transportation containers. The Company provides extensive training and a safe steady place to work.

    General Operatives

    Locations: Foyle Ingredients

    The Foyle Food Group requires General Operatives for our Foyle Ingredients Retail packing plant, located on the Foyle Omagh site, 52 Doogary Road, Omagh Co. Tyrone. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established food processing Company in the UK and Ireland.

    The successful candidates will be part of a busy production team. Key responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:

    • Maintain the effective and efficient running of the production line.
    • Ensuring quality standards are met at all times.
    • Providing assistance to other members of the team when available.
    • Any other reasonable tasks as requested by Senior Management.

    Hours of operation for this role are Monday to Saturday (working 5 days from 6) totalling 40 hours per week between 0600 > 1730, with opportunities to undertake additional hours. We pay operators, off all ages the UK National Living Wage, currently £8.72.

    Essential Criteria:

    • Effective team operator
    • Able to work in a temperature controlled food processing environment
    • Good communication skills
    • A can-do attitude

    Full Time Evening Cleaners

    Locations: Foyle Donegal

    The Foyle Food Group requires a Group Technical / Quality Administrator to be based at our Shared Service Centre located on the Foyle Omagh site on the outskirts of Omagh, Co Tyrone.

    The key function of this role will be to develop trend reports, communicate issues and chase up responses from the individual sites, oversee supplier approvals and general administration functions relating to the Technical / Quality function.

    Essential criteria:

    • 3rd level education in a related discipline or 2 years relative experience

    Skilled & Semi Skilled Trimmers

    Locations: Foyle Campsie

    Foyle Campsie requires Skilled and Semi-Skilled Trimmers to be based at their Campsie site in County Londonderry. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most progressive beef processing groups in Ireland and the UK.

    Essential Criteria:

    • Must have at least 2 years’ experience in a food production environment
    • Must have at least 2 years’ experience as a trimmer/butcher
    • Must have knowledge of butchery cuts and specifications

    The above criteria may be adjusted in order to facilitate shortlisting

     Duties will include but are not restricted to:

    • Meat trimming operations
    • Trimming excess fat off meat primals
    • Trimming bones out of meat primals
    • Finishing primals to customer specifications
    • Operating machinery

    Hours: 4 x 10 hour shifts per week: 07.00 – 17.45

     Rates of Pay

    General Operatives - Knife Team

    Beef Boning Hall – Hrs of work – 4 x 10 hour shifts each week with a rotating day off – 4-day weekend every 5 weeks.

    Foyle Gloucester requires operatives to join our production teams. The roles available are within our Boning Hall, Loading Bay and Slaughter Hall Departments. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established food processing group.

    Operatives for the Boning Hall work on a shift system based on 5-week rota, 10-hour days (excluding breaks) Monday to Friday based on 4 days per week. Start times are 07:00 (butchery) and 07:15 (packing).

    Operatives for the Loading Bay work Monday to Friday commencing at 06:00 each day.

    Operatives for the Slaughter Hall work Monday to Friday commencing at various times between 07:00 and 07:30 depending on work undertaken.

    A minimum of National Living Wage is paid – including those aged below 25 years.

    Full training will be given to successful applicants to enable them to reach their full potential.
