Hygiene Operative

Foyle Omagh currently have a vacancy for a Hygiene Operative to be based at their Omagh, Co. Tyrone site. Reporting to the Boning Hall Manager, the successful candidate will be working in the hygiene room and will be responsible for cleaning and dispensing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other equipment as well undertaking general cleaning duties. Working as part of a team to ensure that all current hygiene and cleaning standards are adhered to. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established food processing plant in the UK and Ireland.

Production Line Leader

The Foyle Food Group is looking to employ Line Leaders for our Retail Packing Operations in our Foyle Ingredients site in Omagh, Co. Tyrone. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established food processing Company in the UK and Ireland.

The successful candidate will lead, develop and influence the shift operators to deliver the optimal contribution and achievement for the strategic plan and vison of the business, ensuring that outputs meet required standards for quality, service and cost.

Current days of operation for the role are Monday – Saturday (working 5 days from 6 per week). A new rotating shift pattern is being introduced in July; days of operation will be Monday to Sunday based on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. Hours of work will be 0700 > 1930 each weekday, and 0700 > 1730 on Saturdays and Sundays with opportunities to undertake additional hours and days outside your shift pattern.

Essential Criteria:

Quality Control Operative

Locations: Foyle Ingredients

The Foyle Food Group is looking to employ additional Quality Control Operatives within our state of the art Retail Packing Facility at the Foyle Ingredients site based in Omagh, Co. Tyrone. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established food processing Company in the UK and Ireland.

The Quality Control Operative will report directly to the Technical Manager and are responsible for ensuring all developed product meets Customer and Company standards for conformance and food safety standards.

Duties will include but are not restricted to:

  • Monitoring product from intake to finished product and reporting any food safety or quality issues e.g. temperature control, fat analysis, weight checks and label verification.
  • Record and take corrective actions re: non-conformance reporting to suppliers
  • Complete sensory analysis of products in the test kitchen.
  • Participate in NPD trials and New product launches.

Current days of operation for the role are Monday – Saturday (working 5 days from 6 per week). A new rotating shift pattern is being introduced in July; days of operation will be Monday to Sunday based on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. Hours of work will be 0700 > 1930 each weekday, and 0700 > 1730 on Saturdays and Sundays, with opportunities to undertake additional hours and days outside your shift pattern. We pay all QC operatives £9.22 per hour (NLW currently £8.72 + £0.50 premium bonus).

Essential Criteria:

  • GCSE Maths & English at Grade C and above or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of what is involved in Quality Control Checks
  • Strong command of the English Language both verbal and written
  • IT Literate
  • Good organisation and communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative with an eye for detail
  • Ability to work in a pressurised environment, with a can-do attitude and commitment to safety
  • Flexibility towards working hours

 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Current Level 2 Food Safety for Manufacturing Certificate
  • Previous experience working in a quality / assurance role
  • Previous experience or working knowledge of red meat products
