Multi Skilled Engineers

Locations: Foyle Gloucester

Foyle Gloucester requires two Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to be based at their Cinderford site.  This is an exciting opportunity to join an established food processing group.  The successful candidate will be part of the Foyle Gloucester Maintenance team, assisting in the day-to-day and preventative maintenance programmes and assisting with ad-hoc maintenance activities on the Foyle Gloucester site.

Essential Criteria:

  • A can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills are essential
  • Experience working on and maintaining equipment and machinery
  • Flexible / team worker
  • A sound understanding of Health and Safety standards is essential

Desirable Criteria:

  • 18th Edition electrical certification
  • Electrical testing and inspection experience
  • Electrical or Mechanical apprenticeship completed
  • Experience with three phase motors
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics experience
  • Refrigeration experience
  • MIG/ TIG Welding experience

Starting basic annual wage for this position is £30,000, upon successful completion of probationary period this will rise to £32,000, overtime in this role is payable, along with callouts and being on standby.

Intake / Forklift Operative

The Foyle Food Group is looking to employ an Intake / Forklift Operative for our Retail Packing Operations in our Foyle Ingredients site in Omagh, Co. Tyrone. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established food processing Company in the UK and Ireland.

Hours of Operation for the role are currently Monday to Saturday (working 5 days from 6) totalling 40 hours per week between 0600 > 1800 during standard operations, when Evening Shift is in place hours of work between 1600 > 0200, with opportunities to undertake additional hours.

Essential Criteria:

  • A valid Counterbalance Forklift licence or Reach Truck licence
  • Ability to work in a cold store environment
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Effective team operator
  • Flexible approach to working hours including weekends / early starts etc.

  • Physically capable to cope with manual handling tasks

Stores Operative

The Foyle Food Group requires a Stores Operative to join their team at the Foyle Ingredients site in Omagh, Co. Tyrone.  This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established food processing Company in the UK and Ireland.

The successful candidate will be assisting in the managing and maintaining of Foyle Ingredients packaging store, which duties include, but are not limited to, assisting in maintaining the overall stores facility and distribution operations ensuring effective utilisation of the space, support production team within the stores function, help develop procedures to improve the process and create efficiencies within the stores and distribution function and manage stores controller in their daily tasks ensuring standards of work are maintained.

General Operatives

The successful candidates will be part of a busy production team. Key responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain the effective and efficient running of the production line.
  • Ensuring quality standards are met at all times.
  • Providing assistance to other members of the team when available.
  • Any other reasonable tasks as requested by Senior Management.

Hours of operation for this role are currently Monday to Saturday (working 5 days from 6) totalling 40 hours per week between 0600 > 1730 during standard operations, when Evening Shift is in place hours of work between 1600 > 0200, with opportunities to undertake additional hours. We pay operators, off all ages the UK National Living Wage, currently £8.72 with an additional premium for hours worked on Evening Shift.

  • Able to work in a temperature controlled food processing environment
  • Good communication skills
  • A can-do attitude

Production Line Leader

Hours of operation for the role are currently Monday to Saturday (working 5 days from 6) totalling 40 hours per week between 0600 > 2000 during standard operations, when Evening Shift is in place hours of work between 1600 > 0200, with opportunities to undertake additional hours.

  • Previous experience within a Team/Line Leader or supervisory role,
  • Ability to work on own initiative with an eye for detail,
  • Ability to work in a pressurised environment, with a can-do attitude and commitment to safety,
  • Good organisation and communication skills,

Cold Store Dispatch Operative

Locations: Foyle Omagh

A vacancy has become available for a Dispatch Operative to be based in our Cold Store in Foyle Omagh. The Cold Store Dispatch Operative will report directly to the Cold Store Manager and will be responsible for day-to-day duties within the Cold Store Department including building orders, scanning orders, and dispatching orders. You will be provided with training to enable you to become a fully skilled member of the team.

Evening Cleaner

Working as part of a team to ensure that all current hygiene and cleaning standards are adhered to. The successful candidate will undertake industrial cleaning operations. Working hours between 5pm > 01:30am during standard operations, Monday to Friday with opportunities to undertake additional hours at the weekend.

Production Operative

Production Operatives

Foyle Gloucester requires operatives to join our production teams. The roles available are within our Boning Hall, Loading Bay and Slaughter Hall Departments. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established food processing group.

Operatives for the Boning Hall work on a shift system based on 5-week rota, 10-hour days (excluding breaks) Monday to Friday based on 4 days per week. Start times are 07:00 (butchery) and 07:15 (packing).

Operatives for the Loading Bay work Monday to Friday commencing at 06:00 each day.

Operatives for the Slaughter Hall work Monday to Friday commencing at various times between 07:00 and 07:30 depending on work undertaken.

A minimum of National Living Wage is paid – including those aged below 25 years.

Full training will be given to successful applicants to enable them to reach their full potential.
