Communications and Marketing Executive

The Foyle Food Group requires a Communications & Marketing Executive to be based at our Shared Service Centre on the Foyle Omagh site, Co. Tyrone. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the key Red Meat Processing Companies in the UK and Ireland.

The successful candidate will have a wide and varied portfolio to look after, from maintaining the Group’s presence on digital platforms, designing livery / marketing materials to planning and organising the Group’s attendance at International Trade fairs. The ideal candidate will have previous experience / knowledge of the following:

Essential Criteria

  • Responsibility for marketing and consumer insight for the business
  • Maintaining digital platforms e.g. Website, Facebook, Twitter etc.
  • Development and delivering of marketing materials
  • Strong / creative writing skills
  • Previous experience working with external graphic designers
  • Event management / co-ordination experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office knowledge

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience in Red Meat Processing
  • Experience of CRM – Microsoft dynamics package

Technical Supervisor

The Foyle Food Group is looking to employ a Technical Supervisor within our state of the art Retail Packing Facility at the Foyle Ingredients site based in Omagh, Co. Tyrone. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established food processing Company in the UK and Ireland. We are seeking a technically qualified candidate who understands the commercial impact of decisions with the business, and can communicate and interact across all levels within the business.

Essential Criteria:

  • 2 years’ experience working in a technical function within a production factory environment
  • Creative approach and a passion for food
  • Working knowledge of HACCP principles
  • Experience of customer audits and liaising with auditing bodies
  • Reliable, flexible and punctual
  • Strong commercial awareness and excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative – carry out relevant quality checks thoroughly and instigate investigations where necessary
  • Experience of responding to customer technical demands
  • Competent in record keeping and assisting sales with technical elements of specifications
  • Familiar with word processing and excel packages 

 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Degree qualification in appropriate Food related subject, for example Food Science, Food Technology or equivalent
  • Proven track record of operating as a Technical Supervisor within the food industry within either a manufacturing, food service or retail environment.

Shift Operator

Locations: Foyle Proteins (Campsie)
Closing Date: 13/12/2019

Foyle Proteins require a General Operator to be based at our rendering plant in Campsie, Londonderry. This is an exciting opportunity to join a modern rendering plant in N. Ireland. We are currently looking for a shift operator, the ideal candidate will have a mechanical / engineering background with working knowledge of pumps, motors and filters. Being a rendering plant, the working environment is very warm, and you will be exposed to raw materials such as animal intestines, bones and blood.

The successful candidate will be part of a shift team working a 3 x 8 hour, 24 hr shift pattern from Mon > Sat.

Essential Criteria:

  • Ability to work on own initiative in a safe manner
  • Effective team operator
  • Medically fit and in good health
  • Availability to work flexible shift patterns
  • Have a mechanical / engineering knowledge / background

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience of working shifts
  • Previous rendering plant experience
  • Fork truck licence

Salary scale: Based on previous experience increasing to £10.53 after completing a 3-year training programme.

Evening Shift Cleaners

Locations: Foyle Omagh / Foyle Ingredients

Foyle Omagh / Ingredients currently have a vacancy for an evening shift cleaners to be based at their Omagh, Co. Tyrone site. Reporting to the Cleaning Manager, the successful candidate will be required to carry out thorough cleaning of all departments within the factory. Working as part of a team to ensure that all current hygiene and cleaning standards are adhered to. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established food processing plant in the UK and Ireland.

Criteria:

  • Good Communication skills
  • Awareness of Health & Safety
  • Be flexible and reliable in approach to meet the demands of a busy department
  • Have a willingness to learn and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to adapt to physically demanding work

In return we offer:

  • Full on the job training.
  • Accreditation towards Meat Safety Certificate.

Hours of work: 4.30pm – 12.30pm Monday to Friday. Owing to the requirements of the department additional hours may be required during busier periods as well as approx.. 1 Saturday per month and 6 Saturdays between 1st Oct and the 31st Nov annually.

Production Operatives

Locations: Foyle Gloucester

Foyle Gloucester requires operatives to join our production team. The roles available are within our butchery and packing teams. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established food processing group.

Essential Criteria:

Shift system based on 5-week rota, 10-hour days (excluding breaks) Monday to Friday based on 4 days per week (reverts to 5 day working, 8-hour days for 10 weeks over summer period). Start time is 7:15am.

A minimum of National Living Wage is paid – including those aged below 25 years.

Production Operative

Locations: Foyle Food Group – Foyle Omagh

Foyle Omagh requires General Operatives to be based at their site on the outskirts of Omagh, County Tyrone. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of most progressive beef processing groups in the UK and Ireland.

The successful candidates will undertake operations in both the Beef Boning and Slaughter Halls on site – full training will be provided to use cutting equipment to enable employees to attain their full potential.

Hrs of work Beef Boning Hall > 0700 > 1730

4 x 10hr shifts each week with a rotating day off – 4-day weekend every 5 weeks.

Beef Slaughter Hall > 0830 > 1630 – 5 x 8hr shifts each week

(Production units are operational on Saturdays between the 1st Oct and the end of November)

Minimum hourly rate of £8.21 per hour regardless of age
