In this role, you will be responsible for the procurement of livestock from existing suppliers, prepare delivery schedules to the abattoir, purchase reports, identify new livestock suppliers and cultivate relationships with current suppliers and key industry contacts. This is a “hands on role” with livestock suppliers. You will be required to have a strong agricultural background and knowledge of beef farming is considered essential.

Desirable skills:

Foyle Proteins require a General Operator to be based at our rendering plant in Campsie, Londonderry. This is an exciting opportunity to join a modern rendering plant in N. Ireland. We are currently looking for a shift operator, the ideal candidate will have a mechanical / engineering background with working knowledge of pumps, motors and filters. Being a rendering plant, the working environment is very warm, and you will be exposed to raw materials such as animal intestines, bones and blood.

The successful candidate will be part of a shift team working a 3 x 8 hour, 24 hr shift pattern from Mon > Sat.

Any other reasonable tasks as requested by Senior Management.
Hours of operation for this role are currently Monday to Saturday (working 5 days from 6) totalling 40 hours per week between 0600 > 1730 during standard operations, when Evening Shift is in place hours of work between 1600 > 0200, with opportunities to undertake additional hours. Starting rate £9.50 regardless of age or skills with an additional premium for hours worked on Evening Shift – full training given.

The successful candidate will be part of a busy cleaning team. Industrial cleaning of all departments of the factory post production. Working as part of a team of 9 to ensure hygiene and cleaning standards are adhered to. Using chemicals to clean the factory. Physical tasks include not limited to, power hosing, moving parts & equipment, etc. Please note work can be physically demanding.

INFORMATION

Foyle Gloucester requires Boning Hall Operatives (Beef boning, trimming and packing) to be based at their Cinderford site. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established food processing group.

Essential Criteria:

· Willing to learn new skills
· Ability to work effectively within a team
· Ability to work in a tidy and safe manner
· Flexible approach to working hours
· A good attitude towards Health and Safety

Desirable Criteria:

· Previous experience of working in a meat processing plant
· Experience of working with knifes

Operatives based within the Boning Hall work on a shift system based on 5-week rota, 10-hour days (excluding breaks) Monday to Friday based on 4 days per week. Start times are from 07:00 dependent on role undertaken.

The starting wage for these roles is based on National Living Wage per hour, with a skills bonus applied upon achieving required skills.
Full on the job training will be given to the successful applicants.
